Terms of Service

Last updated November 2026.

Who these terms are between

These terms are an agreement between FivePin Inc. (“FivePin”, “we”) and the business that subscribes to a ConfidIn product (“the practice”, “you”). They cover ConfidIn Client Check-In, our check-in app, and ConfidIn EHR, our practice-management platform. By subscribing to or using either product, you agree to them. If you accept them for a business, you confirm you have authority to bind it.

Accounts and users

  • You are responsible for the people you give access to, and for what they do in your account.
  • Each person signs in with their own credentials. Do not share them.
  • Keep the information you give us about your business accurate and up to date.
  • Tell us promptly if you believe an account has been accessed without permission.

Subscriptions and billing

A ConfidIn Client Check-In subscription bought through the Apple App Store or Google Play is billed by that store, under the store’s terms.

A ConfidIn EHR subscription is billed by FivePin monthly in advance, at the price agreed with the practice. Prices do not include taxes, which are added where they apply. We will give at least 30 days’ notice by email before a price change takes effect.

Cancellations and refunds are covered by our Refund and Cancellation Policy.

Payment processing

ConfidIn EHR lets a practice accept card payments from its own clients. Payment processing services for a practice on ConfidIn EHR are provided by Stripe and are subject to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement, which includes the Stripe Terms of Service (collectively, the “Stripe Services Agreement”). By agreeing to these terms or continuing to operate as a practice on ConfidIn EHR, you agree to be bound by the Stripe Services Agreement, as the same might be modified by Stripe from time to time. As a condition of ConfidIn EHR enabling payment processing services through Stripe, you agree to provide ConfidIn EHR accurate and complete information about you and your business, and you authorize ConfidIn EHR to share it and transaction information related to your use of the payment processing services provided by Stripe.

  • Stripe processes the data you give it as described in the Stripe Privacy Policy.
  • Stripe’s financial partners are listed in its acquirer disclosure.
  • The practice is the merchant for every payment it takes from its clients. It sets its own refund, cancellation and dispute policies toward those clients and is responsible for them. FivePin does not hold the practice’s funds.
  • Card details are collected on forms hosted by Stripe. FivePin does not receive or store card numbers.
  • The practice must not put clinical or health information in a payment description or any other field sent to Stripe.

Your data and health information

Your data belongs to you. You can export it from ConfidIn EHR at any time while you subscribe, at no extra charge. Before you enter protected health information in ConfidIn EHR, FivePin and the practice sign a business associate agreement, and FivePin handles that information as the agreement and the HIPAA rules require.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use either product for anything unlawful, or to take payments for anything unlawful;
  • try to reach another customer’s data, or to get around the products’ security;
  • resell, copy or reverse engineer the products, except where the law allows it.

Changes to the products

We improve the products over time and may change or remove features. If a change removes something a subscribing practice relies on, we will tell it in advance by email.

Ending the agreement

You can cancel as our Refund and Cancellation Policy describes. We may suspend or end an account that breaks these terms or fails to pay, after notice where the breach can be fixed.

Warranty and liability

The products are provided as they are and as available. To the extent the law allows, FivePin gives no warranty beyond what these terms state, and its total liability under these terms is limited to the fees the practice paid FivePin in the 12 months before the claim. Neither party is liable to the other for indirect or consequential losses.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will email subscribing practices at least 30 days before a material change takes effect, and the date at the top of this page shows the latest version.
